Not really,considering Envy`s envy for the Elrics being favored by Hohenheim was his entire reason for being the way he is,yes Wrath envied humans and the bonds between them like Envy in The Manga and Brotherhood but he moreso felt a spiteful contempt towards Izumi,Edward and the Homunculi(Such as Lust and Gluttony)he viewed as traitors to himself or the cause! Note his emphasis on the "incomplete life" and "Idiots like you who decided to play God" lines when he was first corrupted!
